Top Holiday Party Venues: Las Vegas

Top Holiday Party Venues: Las Vegas:
Top SevsAs Cvent continues its look at the top special event venues in the U.S. for holiday party planning, today we focus on Las Vegas.

There’s no doubt that this city is one great place to throw a party, but there are some special event venues that you may not know about that could make your 2012 holiday party one to remember.
Here are three venues that should be a part of your list when choosing the right spot for your party.
The Beatles REVOLUTION Lounge
You say you want a revolutionary party location for your holiday shindig? The Beatles REVOLUTION Lounge at The Mirage Hotel & Casino is "revolutionary" in design. Dare we say, it's a sensory experience akin to going on a Magical Mystery Tour? Truly unique, your party guests will be enthralled by the psychedelic decor, as they party in the first nightlife experience created by Cirque du Soleil. Built in 2006, REVOLUTION blends 60's style and music with modern, cutting-edge interactive technology, to recreate the magic of The Beatles’ era exclusively at The Mirage Hotel & Casino. One cool setting for a holiday party, right?
RevolutionWhen you arrive at REVOLUTION, your guests will first be greeted at The Abbey Road Bar (shoes optional if your name is "Paul"), "a full-service bar and intimate lounge that launches the experience with its beautiful black-and-white-striped floor, reminiscent of the original Abbey Road." if you choose to leave the bar, you then make your way into the main lounge area, complete with lyric wall featuring the epic words penned by John, Paul, George and Ringo "all those years ago." For planning purposes, you'll find the 5,000-square-foot ultra-lounge one eye-popping setting. One of the major features guests won't soon forget: 30,000 dichroic crystals reflecting light throughout the space in an architectural interpretation of The Beatles’ hit song “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.” Now, that's a party.
The Oquendo Center
This venue will surprise you. This modern, luxurious facility offers 66,000 square feet of meeting space "devoted to practical, clinical, and knowledge-based learning was distinctively designed and built to address every single aspect necessary to become an all-encompassing, successful event resource." But it's also a great place to have a party!

Oquendo Center The Oquendo Center has a well-earned reputation as an clinical, and medical center. They also host some of the most magnificent social events, dinners, receptions and events in Las Vegas.
This facility offers planners a lot of space for functions. We would be remiss if we did not mention that their Las Vegas meeting space is fully customizable, and has a staff on hand that will provide the impeccable personalized service you need to pull off one, cool, timeless event.
The Thomas & Mack Center
The Thomas & Mack Center does it all, and has been for 30 years. From Rock 'n' Roll shows? Check. Rodeos? Check. Private Corporate and Social events? Double check. You may not have considered the Thomas & Mack Center, Cox Pavilion and Sam Boyd Stadium as a special event venue, but maybe it's time you did.

Thomas & MackIt really doesn't matter what size your event is, or the space required for your party. This venue has a wide variety of meeting and event spaces to accommodate groups of all sizes: from 20 people to over 35,000. Enjoy full services including full service catering, back-of-house production, audio/visual, event staffing, advertising/public relations, video production and talent booking.

Whether you want to go BIG, or intimate, the Thomas & Mack Center, Cox Pavilion and Sam Boyd Stadium are the perfect spot for your holiday event. They’ll hold a spot in history for you.
In order to help planners find the perfect venue for their upcoming holiday parties, Cvent evaluated over 5,000 venues.  We based our selections off of the number of views the venue received, as well as the venue’s group lead market share within the Cvent Supplier Network.  To view Cvent’s complete list of Top U.S. Special Event Venues, please visit:  http://www.cvent.com/en/sem/top-us-special-event-venues-2012.shtml.

Where Should You Sit At Smith Center?

Where Should You Sit At Smith Center?:

Downtown's Smith Center has been open for just over three months already, continuing to impress new and "old" visitors alike. Since our first look at Reynolds Hall inside the Performing Arts venue, we've returned for a more intimate experience in the Cabaret Jazz room and then the Broadway Las Vegas Series (in Reynolds Hall).
Each trip to Reynolds Hall has afforded us a different seat, view, and experience. If you're like us before our first visit, you've studied the seating chart and clicked through each available view from your seat. But, if you are still unsure which price point to go after, allow us to share our views.
