Here's a Wild Idea

If you do a LOT of shows in Las Vegas, it might be worth the investment to have your organization buy a condo here. With an increase in Las Vegas foreclusres there are many high rise condo bargains.

It would be nice to have a home environment while you are here, including a full kitchen. The condo could be rented when you are not using it. Link.

Canyon Ranch Spa

Here is a review of the Canyon Ranch Spa at the Venetian. Link.

I have had the pleasure of two glorious facials at Canyon Ranch. They are doubling in size with the opening of the Palazzo Tower at the Venetian. Their spa restaurant serves wonderful, upscale healthful food.

They have specials for groups and meetings or spouse programs. Link.

The Palazzo is Open

Immediately adjacent to sister property, The Venetian, the Palazzo had it soft opening this week.
The Palazzo hotel is a 50-floor luxury tower with over 3000 suites. There are over 375 concierge-level suites including six villas (up to 11,000 square feet each) which will have 3-4 bedrooms, 3.5-4.5 baths, extensive living areas, media rooms, private pools, private jacuzzis, private salons, massage areas, heated spas, personal gyms and, in some cases, private putting greens. The presidential suites and the villas offer private butler services. There are 296 multi-room suites, including six presidential suites. The hotel also has an elaborate pool deck with seven pools, gardens, sculptures, cabanas and fountains, and an adjacent spa facility.
A typical Palazzo hotel suite is 655 to 735 square feet, consisting of a raised sleeping area and bathroom and a sunken living/working area. The suite's bi-level configuration creates a multi-function living space in which guests can sleep, work and entertain and includes two queen-size beds or one king-size bed, a writing desk, dual-line speaker phones, a fax machine, a pullout sofa, sitting chairs and a dining table. The Palazzo Casino Resort features premium, signature restaurants owned and operated by well-known restaurateurs. The Palazzo hotel will also include a theater that is expected to host a major production or Broadway show.

Eye Candy at Mandalay Bay

Eye Candy Sound Lounge at Mandalay Bay. High tech night life with interactive touch tables that allow guests to enjoy pre-selected visuals that react to the music and allow them to create visuals and messages, which they can send across to other tables. They are in full control over the nightlife experience from their respective booth. These circular tables are placed four semi-enclosed booth areas that feature stationary and motorized cameras to check out the action elsewhere in the lounge and bar area. Three sound stations help guests to plug in their iPods and allow the DJ to slip in their personal music tastes into the overall club mix. The dance floor and bar are comprised of touch-activated LED tiles, which react to the feet of the dancers by changing images and graphics.

Rates are $200 an hour and the average drink price is between $6 and $10. Tables are purchased by the hour and guests enjoy the freedom to drink their choice of libations throughout the evening. More photos and videos on the link.
